It's about how you take the hit

This motivational speech is from the movie Rocky Balboa.
It's about believing in yourself. If you watched the previous Rocky movies, then you know how motivational this movie can be. As he says in the video, it's not about how hard you get hit. It's about how you take the hit.
Life will throw you a lot of hits. This can be physical or mental. Challenges or setbacks will be plentiful throughout your life. The people who are able to rise up and surpass everyone else are the ones who know how to handle these hits. How will you react the next time you are knocked down? Will you complain about it? Will you stay down or will you get back up and get ready for another hit? The choice you make will determine the outcome of your life.

The Peacock

"Peacocks Rule"
Have you ever stopped to think about the peacock ??
He doesn’t look like other birds.
He doesn’t act like other birds.
He doesn’t put on a facade or try to hide who he is, though. In fact, he downright celebrates it !! Each day is a holiday for a peacock because he wakes up as himself. His self confidence, pride, and even arrogance make him one of of the most beautiful things on earth. He doesn’t just accept his originality. He doesn’t just embrace his originality. He struts his originality. Man, I love that...

I think Dr. Seuss said it best:
“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.”- Dr. Seuss

..."GIVE"...

We cannot GIVE what we do not possess.
We cannot LOVE effectively,
especially if we're drawing from a depleted well.
We cannot COMFORT completely.., especially if our own hearts are in need of a touch.
We cannot LAUGH effectually with one another, if every smile we make is painful.
We cannot RECEIVE what we haven't learn to give.
We cannot accept JOY, if all we give away is grief.
We cannot accept PEACE, if all we know is chaos.
I know in my heart, it's time for us to do what we've never done, to achieve what we've never achieved.., but in order to receive this new level, this new life....
We must be willing to Give up those ideas, ideals, habits and attitudes that are of no benefit to us anymore.
Remember, We cannot RECEIVE, 'till We're willing to GIVE."
We all pursue something…
Throughout the seasons of life, we churn through cycles of pursuit. Whether fame and power, peace and abundance, fun and pleasure, or healing and forgiveness, we actively seek something at every phase of existence.
Often, we enter dry periods, where paying the mortgage is more important than contemplating the meaning of being - where self-sufficiency is more focal than selfless reflection.
And then it happens…
At some point in life, we catch a glimpse of the miraculous… maybe the mysterious. We contemplate our earthly origin or we grapple with our eternal destiny.
It could be the birth of a child, the death of a loved one, or a devastating divorce.
It could be the vision of a starving child
digging through trash in a street-bound slum ****
It could be the vision of a heroic soldier saving a child
from the chaos of a street-side bomb ****
It could be a massive, star-filled sky…or a tiny hummingbird hovering nearby.
It may strike as a monumental epiphany, or it may sneak up as an inconsequential flash.
Regardless, it happens, and the deep questions of life return – if just for an instant. A passion to pursue ultimate purpose, meaning, and truth are re-ignited in our soul !!
Who am I, really ?
Why am I really here ?
Where will I really be in 10,000 years ?
And, most importantly, where does God fit into all of this ?
Who is God, really… and how do I really pursue Him ?
Throughout the seasons of history, all of humanity has faced this same cycle of perplexity. Whether great thinkers or everyday peasants, our ancestors have all confronted the mystery of God. Some meet God and immediately walk away. Some meet God and embrace Him eternally. Some go forward with pursuing a relationship, while others retreat from possible engagement.
Yes, we all pursue something…

The SHOW GOES ON

I  chose this song because of its message and beat. There aren't too many mainstream rap songs that have a positive/motivational message so this song stood out for me.
"No matter what you see when you look outside your window, brown grass or green grass, picket fence or barbed wire, never ever put them down, you just lift your arms higher. Raise them 'till your arms tire, let them know you're there, that you're struggling, survivin', that you're gonna persevere."
No matter what other may say to you or how much they try to bring you down, refuse to sit and continue to stand strong. Even if life throws you a curve ball or no one believes in you, life will still go on and so must you.

I Want It All - I chose to include this song in motivational songs page because sometimes, we just want it all. Success isn't measured by what you have as the media would tell you, but if that's your goal, by all means, go for it. The big houses, cars, cash... these things have become the main symbol of wealth in our society. Although I believe the person you become is what defines true success, going for these lavish lifestyles at least forces you to think big. Just make sure if that's the dream you want, it's for you, not the people you're trying to impress.

Want it More
How badly do you want it ?? How badly do you really want to achieve
what you are working so hard to accomplish ??
When you get hit hard, you have an opportunity to answer this question.
It’s one thing to say you want to do something, or to be something.
But to walk through the pain; to get up and keep moving forward
knowing there may be more pain ahead,
is a test of your determination and resolve.
When you find yourself getting back on your feet,
you have indeed answered this question
and there’s no doubt you will keep moving forward.

I chose this motivational pump up song
because of the raw beat.
Just listen to it, just awesome...Enjoy Video !!!!

"EvErYdAy I'M SuFfUliN"

Songs can evoke feelings and emotions like no other medium.
Songs are played at weddings, graduations, life-changing celebrations
and funerals to connect better our feelings to the circumstance.
When we need a CHARGE, a Pick-Me-Up,
we often turn to music a song to find
the motivation to keep us moving.
Certain songs have touched me.
They have provided the needed motivation, and inspiration,
to SPARK the FIRE inside of me when it has been extinguished.
Whether I’m looking for a song to help get me through a workout
or get me through a trying circumstance,
I listen to certain songs like "Everyday I'm a Suffulin"
when I need to be filled-up again with their energy
and their messages of healing, "CELEBRATION" and hope.
Motivational songs captivates our minds by, as doctors have described it,
as “tickling several of the most important parts of the brain
in a highly pleasurable way.”
"Every Day I'm Suffulin"
is one of those songs that will Suffule the brain !!
Enjoy Video.

Awesome God Video

Mercy and grace, God gave us at the cross. I hope that we have not too quickly forgotten that our God is an awesome God.
Everything we have in this world
we have because of God.
God gives us the faith, inspiration and motivation
to keep moving forward.
In the busyness of our lives
it may be easy to forget
where our source of life comes from.
Michael W. Smith’s Awesome God
provides a needed prompt
when I forget why I am here.
Cool video, enjoy - Ted TC Coleman
I gotta feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night,
that tonight's gonna be a good night

I gotta feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good good night

Tonight's the night let's live it up
I got my money let's spend it up
Go out and smash it like Oh My God
Jump off that sofa let's get off
I know that we'll have a ball
If we get down and go out
And just loose it all

I feel stressed out
I wanna let it go
Lets go way out spaced out
And losing all control
Fill up my cup Mozoltov
Look at her dancing
Just take it off
Let's paint the town
We'll shut it down
Let's burn the roof
And then we'll do it again

Let's do it, let's do it, let's do it,
Let's do it, and do it, and do it,
Let's live it up
And do it, and do it, and do it, do it, do it,
Let's do it, let's do it, let's do it
Cause

I got a feeling (ooooo hoooo)
that tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good good night

# That's LIFE - Frank Sinatra

I've been up & down & over & out,
but I know one thing
Each time I find myself, flat on this face,
I pick myself up & get back in the race

That's life
That's what all the people say
You're riding high in April
You're shot down in May
I know I'm gonna change that tune
When I'm back on top in June

I say that's life
& as funny as it may seem
Some people get their kicks
Stomping on your dreams
But I don't let it, let it get me down
'Cause this fine ol' world keeps spinning 'round

I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate,
A poet, a pawn & a king
I've been up & down & over & out
But I know one thing
Each time I find myself, flat on this face
I pick myself up & get back in the race

That's life I can't deny it
I thought of quitting, baby
This heart wasn't gonna buy it
And if I didn't think it was worth one single try
I'd jump right on a big bird & then I'd fly

*repeat chorus

That's life & I can't deny it
Many times I thought of cutting out
But my heart won't buy it
But if there's nothing shakin' come this here July
I'm gonna roll x3
myself up in a big ball & die
Can't deny it that's life

Lose Weight : Gain Happiness

You may know Ben Davis as a marathoner, ironman or a role model to lose weight. But to me, he’s a great inspiration for everyone.
Ben was once ‘huge’ as he described himself, with 360 pounds. He was upset with himself and life was a mess. Till one day, he decided to make a change - he runs.
Like all things in life, the starting is always hard and slow. But later he ran 7 miles, 15 miles, 20 miles and even a marathon with his father and brother. Now, he lost 120 pounds and is a happy healthy guy.
Ben is not just an inspiration and motivation for those who want to lose weight, but to people from all walks of life. His courage and persistence turn what may seem difficult, to possible.
Learn from Ben’s experience:
“If you really want to do it, just do it! You can”

It doesn't matter how many say it cannot be done
or how many people have tried it before;
it's important to realize that whatever you're doing,
it's your first attempt at it. - Ted TC Coleman

"CHANGE" is a fact of life. It can not be avoided or denied. It will come. It does not need an invitation or permission. We understanding change does not necessarily destroy standards when the change is initiated by God. When it's "God change" it always means growth, development, and health. God knows best where we are and where we need to be and He as the ability to help us get there.

Whatever you wish there was more of ,
be that.
Whatever you want your relationships and friendships to be ,
be that.
Whatever you want the world to be ,
be that.
If you want there to be less fear and more love in the world,
start with yourself.
If you want ther to be less stress anxiety ,
depression and tension in the world,
start with yourself.
If you want the world to be a more peaceful place, fairer,
more generous and compassionate ,
start with yourself.

To change your life, begin by changing your thoughts.
It is useless to try to change your outer world unless you first change your inner world. If you attempt to make external changes before doing the necessary inner transformation, the outer world will just keep repeating the same pattern. The movie Groundhog Day illustrates a very entertaining lesson in how we keep re-creating the same situation over and over again until we change our mind. The moment our attitude shifts, so does the situation.
If you want or love something a great deal, you will attract it into your life. And if you fear or worry about something with emotional intensity, you will attract the object of your fear. The universal manifestation machine is unbiased in turning your thoughts into reality.
If you are not aware that your thoughts are powerful, you will spend a great deal of time thinking and talking about what you do not want, and you will receive more of the same, and on and on, until your life is a mess and you have no idea why. You will identity yourself as victim, find people who agree with you; and discover news stories, scientific studies, and all manner of evidence to prove that life is unfair and you are just a pimple on the complexion of the universe.
There is another way. You weren't born to live small, and you don't have to. You can shift your attitude now and begin to think about what you do want instead of what you don't want. Then, the universe will have no choice but to give you what you are concentrating on in your favor, instead of against it.
Worry is the power of creation turned against your own best interests. The same engine that runs your car in reverse will move it forward if you but reposition the gearshift. To shift from reverse to drive, reframe your experiences to find the blessing rather than the problem. Then you will become the master of your universe, rather than its victim.
What you become is not a result of what happens to you; it is a result of how you think about what happens to you.
Here is your antidote to worry: Choose a phrase that brings you release, relief, and empowerment, such as "Peace, be still," or "Love is the answer." Whenever worry begins to set in, consciously and meditatively repeat your positive phrase until you return to peace. The mind is capable of paying attention to only one thought at a time. If you focus on ideas that uplift you, your mind will be unable to dwell on fearful issues. Eventually you will develop the habit of positive thinking, and the worry that once haunted you will have no reality.
Today I set my mind and heart on a new path. I focus my energy on love, appreciation, and my highest possibilities. Today I claim responsibility for my own success, and step forward with a new enthusiasm to manifest unprecedented good. I use my mind to create only the best, and I draw unto me all the support and resources I need for positive change. Thank you, God, for opening the door to a life filled with blessings.
